My husband and I took out a loan against one of our cars for about $1000, a few months later he left for basic training with the army. We fell behind and were struggling to keep up with household bills (he didn't get paid for over a month after he left and I was working a part time job). They called to collect and I told them the situation, paid a payment (we were multiple behind) and arranged a date to make a larger payment to catch us back up, all was well and the date came up. I still hadn't gotten my husbands paycheck and tried to explain that he left to make enough money to pay our bills but his paycheck hasn't came yet. They then threatened to take me to court, take the car, and subpoena my husband home from training. I asked for another week to arrange the payment and they said no and continued to threaten us and ruin his cycle through basic, if he had came home he would of had to start all over. To put it into perspective i gave him the last $20 we had so he could eat before he left for processing, it was known to them we were in so much of a rough patch he joined the forces to get out of the slump. I understand they need their payment, but harassment and attempting to get someone 'fired', in this case his paid training delayed and restarted, is ridiculous. The office has very scummy people in it who not only don't care about you, but will demean and harass you, attempt to get you fired, and do it to a service member as well. Steer clear, run far away from First Franklin because absolute heartless witches work there.
